More Than Just Technique

Teaching makes me happy.
Anyone who knows me knows this. It doesn’t matter what kind—I just love it. I love working with people. I love talking about technique, the body, performance, and how it all connects. I live for moments like this.

In this moment, I had just finished talking to these little ones about starting with a strong, grounded power stance—energy through the arms, light shining from the heart center, confidence beaming from the eyes. It makes me smile to see students find that feeling for themselves.

Because here’s what I believe:
Your value isn’t in the final product.
Your worth doesn’t come from a flawless performance.

Stand with strength—even before you begin, on or off stage.
Feel your presence. Hold your ground. Then dance.
And when you’re not dancing, carry that same energy into life: heart open, eyes forward, presence full.
You are the main character. The boss. The author of your own story.

You know this.
You got this.
